The Ratskeller, a fine ambience with friendly staff. A bit expensive in and of itself for hungry sacks like me, but for normal people one serving of a dish is enough. Quality has its price and you can taste it here too. Anyone who wants to have a decent meal in Helmstedt outside of the millions of kebab shops is in good hands here. Otherwise the place is always good for a date;)

The ambience is really nice, but the service was so dominant and impolite that we had to leave the restaurant. We travel all over the world, but we have never experienced a "treatment" like this! The Corona requirements can also be communicated politely ... ?

At the prices we were looking forward to a very tasty German meal. We got frozen food (potato rösti) and ready-made sauces, tough meat and a hair in the meal. Two stars for the very nice service!

Duckstein 0.5l for € 5.8 ??? Excessive prices! We were seated in the bistro. Have drunk a delicious duck stone. Due to the uncomfortable corner in the afternoon, we decided to continue. The shock came with the calculation: 12 € for two beers? Munich is cheaper. What does the small, slightly left-behind Helmstedt think? Prague, Paris and London offer cheaper beer prices in the center. Thank you and bye. We won't be back.

Food and prices are good. You can no longer bring dogs with you and I find that bad. Smoking is not allowed at the bar either. Then many guests will stay away. Are you not allowed to do anything anymore? Oh yes, you can still eat in the restaurant ?

Delicious schnitzel and very nice service.

Service was very slow we waited 1 hours 20 minutes for our meal (fresh asparagus and beef steak) asparagus was not that wow and the sauce hollandaise was a ready product and not homemade... On the top its very expensive two person approx. € 80.... There are better places to eat in Helmstedt can't recommend it... Service excuse the delay because we didn't reserve the table in advance don't know what this has to do with the meal order...

Delicious local food in a consistent and appealing restaurant. The staff is friendly and attentive. Who is on local or the kitchen, is here in good hands. I tried the kale and was thrilled. Here it tastes. Clear recommendation.
